KEYBOARD CLASSES

Currently M.U.S.E. has keyboard programs in some of our schools in the San Francisco bay area and Portland. The keyboard program is offered to grades 2-6. Lessons are given in groups of no larger than 4 students for 30 minutes a week. This course is designed to be an introduction to the piano. Students who show serious study of the instrument will eventually be recommended to private instructors and may also continue with either electric keyboard, Xylophone,or any other instrument offered in the schools band program. One commonly asked question is 'where do I get a keyboard?". It's actually less expensive to purchase a keyboard ( over the course of the year) than renting one, and most music stores only have larger 'professional' models for rent which are much more expensive. The best source is stores such as Costco, Radio Shack, and/ or local yard sales! Often a neighbor or relative may have a keyboard to lend. It doesn't have to be a fancy or large unit- about 3 octaves will work..If you feel you want additional help, please call us or drop us an email at info@museband.com

Our California instructor is Michael Moran, and our Oregon/Portland instructor is Kyla Cummins.
