How to download/ submit Forms for Muse events

 

We have forms on our website in two versions; the 'Adode PDF' format, and direct 'submission' forms ( on line registration).

The Adobe PDF type forms require that your computer has the Adobe Acrobat reader software. Most computers these days already have it installed, but if not, you can download it for free from the Adobe website-here's a direct link to their page: Download Adobe . Once you download it, you'll need to configure your web browser ( Netscape or Internet explorer) to automatically open any PDF documents you get from our website.

For Netscape-This is usually done by going to the 'preferences' settings page in your web browser ( usually under the 'edit' pull down menu). Then you go to 'applications'. From there, scroll down until you see 'portable document format'. Highlight this, then click on the 'edit' key. This will take to a window called 'edit type'. About halfway down this page, click on the radio button for 'application', then click on 'choose'. This will take you to a dialog box where you can navigate to your Adobe Acrobat program you downloaded-it's probably on your hard drive, maybe under 'applications' ( take a deep breath-you're almost done!). Now, doubleclick on 'acrobat reader 4.0' ( or 3.0 if you have an older version), and you'll be taken back to the 'edit windows. Click on 'OK', and then you'll be back to the 'preferences' page. Click again on 'OK', and you're done!

For Internet Explorer- Go to the 'edit' pull down menu on he top of the page, scroll down to 'preferences'. This window will open, and then go to the scroll down menu on the left, and scroll down to 'receiving files'. Under this heading is a sub heading,'file helpers'. Click on that, then go to the right side of the window and scroll down ( a long way!) to 'portable document format'. Click on that, and you'll go to a window that says, 'edit file helper'. About halfway down it should say 'file type', and see if next to 'application' it says 'acrobat reader'. If not, then click on 'browse' which will take you to a dialog box where you will want to go to your hard drive, and then to 'applications', and then look for 'acrobat reader'. Click on that,then you'reback to the 'edit file helper' page. Click 'OK', then click 'ok' on the next window, and you're done!

Now, when you are on our website, and click on a link to a form, you'll see a little download box in the upper corner showing you that the form is downloading to your computer. Then, it should automatically open in the Acrobat reader program. Then, you can print out the form, fill it out and send it in.

 

The other type of form we have is the on-line form, where you fill it out while on the website, click 'submit', and it sends the information directly to our computer and registers your student in the program ( you can, if you prefer, print out these pages directly from the website and mail or fax to us-it's quicker to do the on-line, though).
